To be heard you've got to be savvy, smart, and oftentimes relentless. So, I was thinking, maybe we could be relentless together. Interested?

About Me

Despite turning in a wildly mediocre thesis on the ideological hegemony of art, media, and literary theory — I was kindly awarded a B.A. from the University of Houston. Shortly after college while doing environmental contract work for New Jersey Natural Gas, I was offered a permanent job writing press releases starting close to 100k. Instead, I declined and moved to New York City shortly after to live in a tiny walk-up on a busy street in Chelsea. I'll never forget the hum of the city and the flashing neon lights that kept me up most nights. All to make art, and walk the same streets of some of the most inspiring people. Somewhere in this is a story that should tell you much of what you need to know.

While working as a painter's assistant, I began to discover tools used in design and realized art can come in many forms. Photoshop was my gateway drug. At that time I was also getting interested in code and the web world. John Maeda would post fun, open-source code on his website for people to play with, and would go on to become an admired mentor. During this time, I also discovered Peter Saville, and my fate was sealed.

I have spent a decade or more honing my skills in both art and design, working for some of the largest companies in the world. Today I leverage those skills to produce highly effective multimedia content for forward-thinking companies, social capitalists, grassroots efforts, good causes, corporate givers, and non-profits. Less formally, I just want to be a positive force. I aspire to be a game-changer, playing field leveler, and unsung hero to those I admire. Mostly, I like to work, and mainly I like to work with passionate people that have something to say.

I would like to get back into the realm of work that I did when I first started my career. Meaningful work, with purpose. I give gratitude to the many great projects that I've been lucky enough to work on, and for the great people that I've met along the way. I've been fortunate to work with clients that are leaders in their industry. Some are big, some are small, but all are important.
